A small object, a shared purpose
A piece of jewelry may seem like a small object, but I became interested in how something handmade could carry a purpose beyond its appearance. What if the creativity behind a product could also become a way to connect people and support a community?
This idea took shape through JewelBlind, a handmade ceramic jewelry social enterprise supporting students with visual impairments.
Building a brand around care
As Co-Founder and Head of Marketing & Communication, I helped transform our creative concept into a purpose-driven brand, working on product development, visual identity, pricing strategies, and communication campaigns. Rather than presenting jewelry simply as decorative accessories, we sought to communicate the craftsmanship behind each piece and the social purpose of the project.
Through branding and sales initiatives, we generated VND 13.5 million in revenue from more than 200 handmade products, demonstrating how creative entrepreneurship could mobilize resources for a community-centered cause.
Creativity in meaningful action
Our efforts extended beyond product sales. For a Mid-Autumn campaign, we developed and delivered 120+ customized gift sets to students with visual impairments, turning the support generated through our project into a tangible gesture of care.
JewelBlind reshaped how I think about the value of design. While my cultural projects use visual storytelling to preserve and reinterpret heritage, JewelBlind showed me how creativity could also connect people through shared purpose and meaningful action.
“I learned that the value of design is not measured only by what people can see, but also by the difference it can make in someone's life.”
