Le Hong Phong Journalism Club

Student journalism is more than reporting school events. Through thoughtful visuals and creative communication, it can turn everyday experiences, academic discussions, and student perspectives into stories that connect a community.

As Head of Design at Le Hong Phong Journalism Club, I led the club's visual direction, transforming complex information into accessible infographics, editorial designs, and engaging social media content.

Working alongside the editorial team, I developed visual materials across five campaign areas, from student mental health and academic guidance to school sports, cultural heritage, and community events.

I also established a library of 12 standardized design templates, helping the team maintain a consistent visual identity and making it easier for future members to continue our work.

During my tenure, the club's Facebook audience grew from approximately 15,400 to over 20,000 followers, while peak campaign posts generated more than 1,000 organic interactions.

This experience showed me that visual storytelling is not only about making information attractive. It is about making ideas easier to understand, stories more accessible, and student voices more visible.
